The purpose of creating Kabul Events is to unify all events, announcements, real estate needs, person to person contacts, garage sales, help wanted ads, and all other unmet needs of Kabul residents. Either if you are a resident or coming to visit, you may need this list to get information.

Descriptions: These are some topics shared on this list:

• Person to person - Looking for old friend/classmate/colleague, etc.
• Rentals/shares - Renting an apartment or want to share space
• Events – Know of a concert, exhibition, competition, etc
• Best kept secret - Discovered a wonderful little café in Karta-e Char, etc. My tailor at [contact info] who charges $x for my suit/dress is a true ustad [master].
• Pets - Adopt/give up a pet
• Domestic help – Need baby sitting/cook/driver/guide/language tutor/yoga class, Or, I’m leaving but have a great help who you can use.
• Announcement - Have an idea to make Kabul a better place and need like minded people to help
• Garage sale - Looking for/starting a garage sale.
• Donate – Have nice furniture but no space, who wants it?
• Lowdown – I’m a FOS (Fresh Off Scariana) and just cork-screw landed at Kabul Airport. I am lost. Where do I get everything? Or, I’m a parachute journalist who want to travel to Helmand Province, what is the lowdown?

     We will add to the list of categories as we go on. You will receive one email per week, with the above categories. Only the moderator can post events, but all members are welcomed to send their announcement requests to the moderator at chelcherogh@gmail.com to be published. The sum of all your wisdom will be posted online permanently for future generations, so that they do not repeat our mistakes.
